Washington County public transit announces holiday hours

Freedom Transit’s Washington Transit Center will be closed on Friday in observance of Independence Day. Fixed-route and shared-ride services will operate normally on Friday. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, fixed-route bus service will not operate. Shared ride service will be available until 5 p.m. To schedule shared ride trips for Friday, Saturday and Monday, please call 724-223-8747 by noon on Thursday. Union Township man accused of indecent assault of girl at grocery store

A Union Township man with a history of inappropriately touching young children is accused of indecent assault after he allegedly touched one girl’s chest under her shirt and followed other children around at a local grocery store.
