Freedom Transit has announced a planned reduction to its Shared Ride Service program in order to “contain costs and create efficiencies while keeping the service available to as many riders as possible,” according to a news release. A Greene County man was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison on child pornography charges Wednesday. Jacob Rex, 20, of Crucible, will serve consecutive sentences for possessing child sexual abuse material and distributing film of child sex acts. They are being served concurrently with a sentence on separate charges for distribution, corruption of a minor and criminal use of a telecommunications facility. Rex must also register as a Type II offender under Megan’s Law.
