A Carmichaels man is in jail after allegedly attacking a man with a handgun and shooting at him with an empty chamber Thursday. Witnesses said Alexander Watson, 31, hit Brendon Patitucci in the back of the head with a revolver shortly before 11 a.m. as Patitucci was fighting with another man outside 44 Cumberland Village in Carmichaels on Thursday, according to court documents. An Ohio woman died Sunday night in a wrong-way crash on Route 22 in Hanover Township. State police said Dawn R. D’Andrea was driving west in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Burgettstown exit shortly after 10:30 p.m. when she crashed head-on into another car. D’Andrea, 53, of Wintersville, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash, according to the Washington County coroner’s office.
