One killed, two injured in Cecil Township crash

An Oakdale man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle accident in Cecil Township that sent one car over a nearby hillside. According to a Washington County 911 supervisor, first responders were called at about 8:20 p.m. to the intersection of State Route 980 and Clover Lane. Cecil Township fire Chief Ted Wolford said the crash involved two cars that hit each other head-on. "We had one fatality. The police department is investigating," Wolford said. On Monday, Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco identified the man who was killed as 55-year-old Charles Amic, of Oakdale. Pedestrian killed on I-70 near Chestnut Street exit

A person died early Sunday after being struck by multiple vehicles in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 at the Chestnut Street exit. The unidentified person was seen lying in the middle of the eastbound lanes in North Franklin Township near the interchange, prompting a tractor-trailer driver to call 911 and report the situation, the Washington County coroner's office said.
