Washington police charged a man Tuesday for ramming into his ex-girlfriend's vehicle while she tried to leave work. Evan Rylee Holbrook, 22, of Ligonier, faces felony charges of aggravated assault and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as misdemeanors of reckless endangerment, harassment, stalking, loitering, terroristic threats and unlawful restraint. According to the criminal complaint, Amira Maroulis reported to police on Monday that Holbrook had been harassing her and sending threatening messages last week. Glass and plastic recycling Saturday

Volunteers from the Washington Rotary Club will assist with recycling of empty bottles and jars Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. until noon at the Log Cabin Drive entrance to the Washington Park recycling center. Only glass bottles and jars are accepted, but color does not matter and lids and labels are acceptable. No other types of glass, including mirrors, light bulbs, window glass or ceramics, are permitted. Rotary members assist with glass recycling on the first Saturday of each month through November, but glass may be recycled any Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. by entering the recycling area at the Wheeling Street entrance. Fentanyl found in infant; Chartiers parents charged

The parents of a 4-month-old girl in Chartiers Township are facing charges after the infant tested positive for fentanyl. Chartiers Township police charged Darrell Lee Diaz, 39, and Katrina Marie Post, 31, on Tuesday with a felony of endangering the welfare of children. According to the criminal complaint, on Nov. 24 Post took the child to UPMC Washington Hospital due to the child being lethargic and sleeping more than normal. There was fentanyl in the baby's system, and she became alert after receiving a small dose of Narcan. The baby was transported to UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. Washington man charged in police chase

State police charged a man Tuesday for fleeing a traffic stop and then jumping out of his moving vehicle last month. Robert Steven Fuller, 32, of Washington, faces felony charges of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, escape and flight to avoid apprehension. Police also charged him with misdemeanors of evading arrest, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless endangerment, obstruction and disorderly conduct. Indianapolis men charged in burglary spree

Three Indianapolis men are accused of conspiring to steal money by breaking into cash machines 27 times across southwestern Pennsylvania over a three-month period. Charges were filed against the three men — Kavon Carter, 24; Demarkis Bartlett, 28; and Tony Edwards, 22 — in Fayette County Wednesday. Between December 2024 and February 2025, they allegedly committed 27 burglaries across Fayette, Greene, Washington, Allegheny, Erie, Butler and Venango counties. Carnegie man pleads guilty to lesser drug charge in 2020 overdose death in Washington

A Carnegie man who helped to facilitate the purchase of drugs for an acquaintance that later killed the other man nearly six years ago pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Wednesday after he cooperated with investigators to help them catch the dealer. Duane Berry Jr., 33, appeared in the Washington County Courthouse before President Judge Valarie Costanzo and pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy with intent to deliver and was immediately sentenced to serve three years on probation.
