Korean War veteran to be interred at national cemetery

The remains of a Korean War Army veteran will be buried in a military ceremony at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. After nearly 75 years, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) identified the remains of Sgt. Clayton Millard Pierce last June. Man facing aggravated assault charges in Greene County

A man is facing charges of aggravated assault in Greene County after allegedly throwing a rock at his girlfriend’s head in Waynesburg. A criminal complaint was filed Wednesday against Brennenn Eddy, 36. The previous day, according to the complaint, he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend near the train tracks on Greene Street. During the argument, he picked up a piece of granite from the tracks’ ballast and threw it at her, wounding her forehead, the complaint stated.
