Canonsburg begins search for new borough manager

Canonsburg is looking for a new borough manager after the death of Billie Bilko, who had been in the position since September. Bilko, 63, died July 1. Before being appointed borough manager, Bilko served as finance manager and assistant borough manager during her first three years with the borough. “She came to us as the finance director and did such a wonderful job there that elevated her to borough manager,” said Rich Russo, council president. “She was doing a fabulous job as borough manager.” Russo said a committee will be formed to find a replacement when council meets July 14. “We’re looking at a minimum of about a month,” Russo said, of the search for a ...
