Boil water advisory lifted for Washington County communities
Operations for Charleroi Magisterial District Judge Eric Porter resumed Monday at a new location after being suspended last week when his building was condemned. Porter will operate out of 250 Chamber Plaza in Charleroi until further notice. Hours of operation will remain 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. A water line break collapsed ceilings and flooded the building at 416 Fallowfield Ave., rendering the structure uninhabitable. Operations for Porter were suspended throughout the remainder of the week as a new location for his office was sought. South Strabane Township officials have provided an updated draft for an ordinance regulating data centers. However, Supervisor Jeff Bull cautioned that elected officials may not be voting on the ordinance anytime soon. A public hearing has not been scheduled. “We’re far from the finish line,” Bull said. The draft is available for public viewing on South Strabane’s website.
