Women of Southwestern PA to hold golf fundraiser

Women of Southwestern PA is holding its annual golf fundraiser Monday, May 4, at Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray. This is the 26th year the group has had a golf fundraiser, and it will help women and children in need. There will be an all men’s team, an all women’s team, a mixed team, as well as skill competitions, a putting contest, lunch, dinner, refreshments on the course, door prizes, a cash bar and raffles. Women of Southwestern PA has raised more than $1 million from previous golf outings. North Franklin Township adopts ordinances regulating data centers, electric generation

North Franklin Township supervisors unanimously approved a pair of ordinances that aim to regulate the development of data centers in the municipality. The board of supervisors held public hearings on the ordinances – one that specifically targets data centers and another concerning facilities that generate electricity – at their meeting Tuesday. “If you do not have an ordinance on the books, you leave yourself wide open for any and all data centers in your municipality,” said Bob Sabot, chair of the board of supervisors.
