Labor groups meet to plan abandoned well remediation
Twenty expired restaurant licenses are being auctioned by the state, and Washington and Greene counties each have one license available. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is accepting bids through Oct. 5 at noon. Licenses available in this auction cannot be transferred across county lines. They may only be transferred to another municipality within the same county. The minimum bid for each license is $25,000, and each bid must be accompanied by a bid surety of $5,000 or 5% of the total bid amount, whichever is higher, to avoid frivolous or underfunded bids. The Peters Township School District has updated its cellphone policy to prohibit students from using them throughout the school day.
