Police investigate shooting death in Canonsburg

Canonsburg Police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a borough man. According to information released by the Washington County Coroner’s office, Brady Hugh Paul, 25, of Canonsburg, was shot while at a friend’s residence in the 500 block of Giffin Avenue sometime before 11:40 p.m. Saturday. Paul’s friend sought help from a neighbor, who called 911. Paul was pronounced dead at 1:08 a.m. The cause and manner of his death remain under investigation. Other police departments responding to the scene included Cecil, North Strabane, Chartiers and Peters townships, along with the state police forensics unit.
