James Elli was sentenced Wednesday by Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh to serve 79 months in prison after pleading guilty last year to one federal charge for the drug trafficking operation that stretched from Philadelphia to Detroit. An overturned tractor-trailer shut down Interstate 70 in western Washington County for more than three hours Thursday. State police were called to the crash in Donegal Township near the Claysville exit shortly before 10 a.m. that required the eastbound lanes of the interstate to be closed. No serious injuries were reported, but it took more than three hours to remove the wreckage from the highway, police said. The identity of the tractor-trailer’s driver or how the crash occurred was not immediately released.
