Charleroi Area High School awarded grant for greenhouse renovation

Science teacher Eric Selva is hopeful that the $5,000 Environmental Education grant he received from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in late April will help catalyze a transformation of the outdoor learning area at Charleroi Area High School, giving his students new ways to learn about agriculture. Youth outdoor events Paris Sportsman's Club is hosting two annual youth events designed to introduce young people to the outdoors, located at the lake at 154 Devils Den Road in Paris. The club’s annual kids fishing derby will take place on May 30, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and fishing activities starting at 9 a.m. The event is free for all youth ages 18 and under and will feature a fishing contest with bait provided.
