An Allenport woman driving a stolen car led police on a chase in the Mon Valley that ended in a crash in Fallowfield Township. A Charleroi Regional police officer was posted in his police cruiser in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue in North Charleroi about 10 p.m. Saturday when he saw a hatchback car with its driver’s side window down and marijuana smoke emanating from the vehicle, according to court documents. Police are seeking a Waynesburg man accused of injuring several people Sunday night after backing his car into a garage while allegedly drunk. Witnesses told Waynesburg police that James Roach, 35, had been asked to leave a gathering at 310 E. Lincoln St. before backing his Jeep Grand Cherokee into the garage shortly after 7 p.m. Stacey Lewis, who was standing near the garage entrance, was hit with the back of the vehicle near the fuel tank, the complaint said. The Cecil Township Board of Supervisors tabled a motion to award a contract for a comprehensive renovation to the Generations Room after the single submitted bid was out of budget and limited in scope. According to Supervisor Chairman Frank Egizio, the board opted to delay the bid award during a Tuesday night meeting in order to advertise the project and hopefully attract a wider range of bidders.
